Using Tickerscope

Choose a tool below for a short explanation and a link back to work.

Create My Portfolio

Enter the ticker symbols you want to track, separated by commas. Choose Save My Portfolio, then open the dashboard to review your saved list.

Open Create My Portfolio

Portfolio Dashboard

Start with Portfolio Health and holdings requiring review. Use the portfolio table, Heatmap, and Cross Hairs to examine your holdings in more detail.

Open Portfolio Dashboard

The Daily

Start with the Market Snapshot, then review proposed changes and rotations. Check the effective date of the data. Accepting a recommendation records a review decision; it does not place a trade.

Open The Daily

Wheel Lab

Use the on-screen setup to begin a historical options simulation. Review the information available at each simulated date before making a decision, then compare the results as the simulation advances.

Open Wheel Lab

Portfolio Builder

Enter tickers or choose the available construction settings. Review the proposed holdings before using Save My Portfolio.

Open Portfolio Builder

Rotation Review

Compare a holding with a possible replacement. Review the supporting information before recording a decision. Log to Ledger records the details you enter; it does not send an order to a broker.

Open Rotation Review

Market River View

Use ticker ribbons to explore changes in market leadership. Select a ticker to highlight its ribbon; select it again to return to the full view.

Open Market River View

Focus

Select a ticker or a ticker source. Compare the aligned Heatmap, Cross Hairs, price/Regime, and histogram views. Use Previous and Next when your source contains multiple tickers.

Open Focus

Tryout Lab

Choose the study settings, run the study, and review its assumptions with the results. Where available, save the resulting ticker list as a reusable universe.

Open Tryout Lab

Strategy Comparison

Choose the available methods and historical period, then compare the results using the same assumptions. Keep the page open while the progress message is active.

Open Strategy Comparison

Long-Term Strategy Study

Set the study period and available strategy options before starting. Longer studies need more data and may take several minutes. Read the displayed methodology and limitations with the results.

Open Long-Term Strategy Study

Trading League

Review the participation information on the page before enrolling. Use the league view to follow the displayed participants and results.

Learn the Concepts

Your Simple Concepts lessons explain the ideas behind the tools. Start with a topic below.

Key terms

Regime describes a market condition derived from moving averages. Regime.days pairs that condition with its duration.

Holding Health helps compare existing holdings. Buy Today Score helps compare candidates. These are research measures to examine alongside the underlying information.

Cross Hairs visualizes moving-average relationships. A Heatmap shows a date-aligned history of Regimes and scores. A reusable universe is a saved ticker list that can be used in another tool.

A panel keeps loading

Confirm you are signed in, then reload the page. If it still fails, note the tool name and the exact error message so the issue can be investigated.

Market data is unavailable

Retry after a short wait and check the displayed effective date. Cached data may remain visible while a provider is temporarily unavailable.

A study is taking a long time

Keep the page open while its progress message is active. Longer historical periods require more data and calculations.

Where are my display settings?

Open Help → Interface Preferences for display settings. Help → Cartoon Images toggles the illustrations. Help → Getting Started restores the walkthrough.

Does Tickerscope place trades?

No. Portfolio changes, review decisions, ledger entries, and simulations are application records. Tickerscope is an educational research tool.

For site administrators

If a panel reports a Connector API error, check that the WordPress Connector and VPS backend versions are compatible. Updating the WordPress plugin alone does not deploy backend changes. Development Mode is managed on the Admin page.
